Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Varicose Vein Treatment

UNM Vein & Cosmetic Center offers vein treatment to help you find relief from the discomfort of varicose veins and the unattractiveness they may cause. Ambulatory phlebectomy, also known as microphlebectomy, is a safe and very effective treatment for the removal of varicose veins that are small to medium in size and are visible at the surface of the skin. This procedure is nearly always used in conjunction with other varicose vein treatments UNM Vein & Cosmetic Center offers, such as:

  • Sclerotherapy
  • Radiofrequency Ablation
  • Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT)

Combining ambulatory phlebectomy with radiofrequency ablation or endovenous laser treatment of the great saphenous vein often provides the best results for the removal of varicose veins. Even though it has the ability to remove smaller varicose veins, ambulatory phlebectomy is rarely used to remove spider veins. UNM Vein & Cosmetic Center also offers a varicose vein consultation so you can learn more about the condition of your veins and the treatment options that may work for you.
