Academic Background:
Dr Hassan is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgical training at the University of Miami in Florida and continued with a one year Fellowship in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio during which he spent one month in Europe with leaders in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. He authored numerous publications in major Cardiothoracic Journals and 2 book chapters in Cardiac Surgery on Robotic CABG and Beating Heart Surgery. He is a member in major Cardiac Surgery Societies including Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS), and International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS).
